About Monte Carlo Prosecco D.O.C Extra Dry
VINIFICATION
Hand-harvested in Veneto and Friuli Venezia Giulia, 100% Glera grapes are gently pressed to preserve aromatics. They must undergo slow fermentation in stainless steel, maintaining notes of pear, apple, and white blossom. A second fermentation in sealed tanks using the Charmat method creates a delicate sparkle, followed by cold stabilisation to preserve freshness. This meticulous process produces an Extra-Dry wine with luminous purity, lively elegance, and characteristic terroir.
FOOD PAIRING
Monte Carlo Prosecco DOC Extra Dry is a versatile sparkling wine, perfect as an aperitif or an elegant companion for a variety of dishes:
• Mediterranean-inspired cuisine
• Fresh seafood and light pasta dishes
• Grilled vegetables
• Soft cheeses
TERROIR
The Conegliano Valdobbiadene wine region is defined by its steep, glacier- and sea-shaped hills, which create a mosaic of soil types and a distinctive microclimate. These dramatic slopes require heroic viticulture—meticulous, hand-worked farming that yields exceptionally high-quality grapes for Prosecco Superiore. The region’s sunny yet moderate climate, pronounced day-to-night temperature shifts, steady breezes, and soils composed of clay, sand, stone, and limestone together shape the wine’s characteristic minerality, bright acidity, and vibrant fruit expression.
AGEING & SERVING
Best served chilled at a temperature of 6 – 8°C in sparkling wine glasses to fully appreciate its freshness and aromatic profile.
